Bharathiar University is a state university in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, South India. It was founded in 1947 by the managing trustee Sri G.R. Govindarajulu and the founder principal Dr. G.R. Damodaran.PSG College of Arts and Science was started in 1947 by the PSG and Sons Charities .Until 1978, the college was affiliated to Madras University; now the college is affiliated to Bharathiar University.
