Dayanand Ayurvedic College, Jalandhar was established in 1898, is the first institution on the globe, which started the teaching of Ayurveda. Education in Ayurveda has a rich tradition. It was taught in the universities of Takshila and Nalanda in ancient times - the golden era of Ayurveda. Dayanand Ayurved College and Hospital was established in the year 1898 in the city of Lahore. Later in the year 1947 all the immovable and movable.It has about 700 schools, colleges and other institutes in India & abroad. Dayanand Ayurvedic College is one these and is the oldest Ayurvedic College in India.The Institute is affiliated to the Guru Ravidas Ayurved University, Hoshiarpur.
