City College owes its origin to the largesse of the VII Nizam of the erstwhile Hyderabad state, Nawab Mir Osman Ali Khan, who was known as the 'modern.Government City College is located in Hyderabad, India. It has been conferred with autonomy by the University Grants Commission, Osmania University .The history of City College is associated with the awakening of the people of Hyderabad who realized the importance of education and established the first city .City College was taken over by the Government from Osmania University in 1965
